Celebrating our 20th year in the same location
Tony’s American Grille & Tap is family owned and is proud to say we are the first and oldest sports pub in the Roswell - Alpharetta area. We celebrated 20 years of continuous service in August 2006 with a pig roast and a special sumo wrestling challenge match pitting one of the owners against the bar staff! The owner won, sort of. Tony’s offers a full service kitchen with dozens of delicious menu items including salads, sandwiches, steaks, and seafood along with a large selection of beer, wine, and liquor. The food really is above average. Families have been coming to Tony’s so long we’re beginning to see our third generation of customers eat the best chicken wings and burgers in town. We have smoking and non-smoking rooms for your convenience.
What makes Tony’s so special?
It starts with the people who cook your meal, serve your food, and make your drinks. While Tony’s has undergone extensive renovation in 2006, Tony’s management is proudest of the people who make the place run on a day-to-day basis – our folks are really delightful and fun to be around. We have remarkably low turnover and it shows in the consistency of our food and the quality of our service. Our experienced servers and bartenders will remember you and you’ll remember them. We like that.
Tony’s is reminiscent of many northern neighborhood pubs you might find in places like Chicago, Pittsburgh, or Cleveland with its warm atmosphere and friendly regulars. We try to make everyone feel welcome and find their place to cut loose when they’re in the mood. Tony’s can become a habit forming experience so be prepared to enjoy yourself.
Throwing a party?
We love to party. We offer our Club Room for larger parties and for smaller gatherings we’ll cordon off the Game Room. Both rooms are non-smoking. We sponsor private parties, birthdays, wedding parties, office meetings, and clubs gatherings on a regular basis so let us know how we can help you. We can even secure entertainment with advance notice – musicians, clowns, comedians, and magicians.
For us, it’s all about the games…
We feature 5 large hi-def projection screens and more than 25 TVs around the bar and restaurant area. We can catch most any game that’s on television or DirecTV and some that aren’t with our satellite system. Our sound system is continuously being upgraded and our customers can enjoy Sirius satellite radio and pick their own music from our Rock-Ola Ecast internet jukebox. If you prefer you can relax with an NTN console and play trivia and QB1 or you may choose to unwind in the bar and play video games.
There’s something to do every night
There are regular events like Biz Night, Open Mic, Texas Holdem Poker, Team Trivia, DJ Rob along with live music during the week and on the weekends. Did we mention sports on the 5 large hi-def screens? For those who appreciate breweriana, you’ll appreciate the bar and restaurant areas where we display our own collection of signs, neons, and other reminders of old beers long out of production. And let’s face it, there’s nothing more entertaining than watching everyone come and go throughout the evening. Above all we want everyone to have a really good time.
A first for Roswell – a 5-pound hamburger!
Yes, we really start with five pounds of hamburger. The guys in the kitchen like to have fun and say we can double up and make one even bigger but we’re not so sure. We have a special challenge for anyone who thinks they can eat the whole thing in just one sitting. It is a huge hamburger. We recommend you buy one for a friend first or consider one for a group.
Traveling in from out of town?
The Doubletree Hotel - Roswell is conveniently located directly behind Tony’s and is a favorite for those traveling in the area. There are numerous other hotels within a few short blocks. We have many businesswomen who tell us they enjoy coming to Tony’s because they feel secure at the bar or in the restaurant. We can arrange for taxi or limo service to safely pick you up and drop you off so call us and let us know.
